A kind, welcoming family in Milford, Connecticut is seeking an experienced full-time nanny to care for their two young children, a 4-year-old girl and a 1-year-old boy. This is a long-term position for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and is looking to become a steady, trusted presence in a warm, family-centered home.
The role offers either a live-in or live-out arrangement. For live-in candidates, a private living space is available in a nearby apartment just minutes from the family’s waterfront home, offering comfort and convenience while maintaining privacy. The family is seeking someone who values stability, consistency, and meaningful connection with the children.
Responsibilities:
Childcare Duties:
Full-day supervision and safety monitoring
Emotional support and behavioral guidance
Daily routines (meals, naps, hygiene)
Educational & Developmental:
Age-appropriate learning activities
Reading, crafts, sensory play
Outdoor play and social development
Household (child-related):
Meal and snack preparation
Children’s laundry
Cleaning play areas and bedrooms
Organizing toys and supplies
Tidying up after meals and activities
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Warm, reliable, and highly engaged childcare professional with strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
Requirements:
Minimum 2+ years professional nanny experience
Infant and toddler care experience required
CPR & First Aid certification (current or in progress)
Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record
Comfortable driving children using provided vehicle
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Must pass comprehensive background check
Up-to-date vaccinations (Tdap, MMR)
